Minimal Cabins like this one can be seen scattered all over Coastal Alaska. They are commercial or subsitence seasonal set-net fishing sites occupied only during the time of a particular salmon run. At the close of the season the family goes home again 'till next summer. A great many of these sites can only be reached by 4-wheelers or pick-up trucks riding on the beach at low tide.
