The
word "Overheaded" has an unpleasant ring to all
traveling Alaskans. It simply means that the plane you had
hoped to board is flying over your stop. Why? Because visibilty
is nil due to heavy snowfall, dense fog, etc. Small planes
also overhead for the above reasons. In Tenakee, where the
airfield is the inlet, the float planes will also overhead
when the water is too rough. So, one sits and waits for milder
conditions and the next flight.
