My
one room Orcas Cabin is on the water's edge. I frequently
glance up from my drawing table to see what is happening on
the heavily traveled channel. I see ducks, screeching birds
swooping down over schools of herring, the periodic seal or
seal lion and tug boats laboriously pulling enormous log rafts
through the narrow body of water. On other occasions small
drift logs glide silently along carrying a few hitchhikers.
In this image, a cormorant, drying his spread out wings, is
joined by two gulls for the ride.
