For
spring break the family went to Tenakee Springs and
dug out our cabins from the record snowfall. As a
bonus we got in on the last of the subsistence King
Crab season! 
Two dozen third graders from a local school who had been studying Rie came to visit our gallery a few weeks ago. Although Rie wasn’t able to attend, the class entered with oohs and aahs.
They were given a brief tour of Rie’s beautiful gallery and then we sat down with scrap foam core and lots of colored markers to create works of art. The teachers were told they must participate as well.
Of course, the kids were able to express themselves better than the adults although one single teacher drew herself in a wedding gown.
The May Release features three new prints by Rie Munoz.
