That's me up in the sky. I had broken my arm in Tenakee walking down some metal steps in the rain with my hands in my pockets, looking left and right at scenes I might want to paint. Down I went. There was such an incredible storm that day that no commercial planes were flying, but the Coast Guard sent a helicopter and transported me to Sitka. As we left, I looked out the window at the people waving down below, and already envisioned a painting!
